A laboratory test shows whether the stone in the backfill has high swelling potential. If this is the case, the backfill must be excavated and replaced with DB-certified crushed stone (without swelling potential). The backfill must be removed.

- Spread and compact new DB-certified stone backfill
- Pour a new concrete slab
