Support of foundation on piles during decontamination
In the event of contamination with hydrocarbons and other toxic materials, it often happens that we should excavate around and even under the buildings. In these cases, the foundation must be supported during the work to avoid sagging.
The supporting is usually done by underpinning work with steel piles, creating low-vibration to avoid compaction of the surrounding ground and any sagging of the building. In this case, the soil must be removed and the building fully supported by steel piles.
